Hi! I have just completed my first 30 days on
Phentermine and couldn't be happier with the results!
I began at the end of May and pretty much decided that if I didn't lose the weight this summer, I would opt for drastic measures. I had even investigated getting
weight loss SURGERY in Mexico - how crazy is that?
Soooo, after the 1st 30 days, I am happy to report I have lost 22 lbs. Yea! I can tell you the first 1 week I was convinced the phen was NOT working as my I was still hungry.
But I read
Ian's tips and really tried to focus on whether I was truly hungry or just bored and have a little pity party using salt and sugar as tools to cheer me up.
I have adjusted my
diet to a plan that goes a little like this:
6 a.m. - take 1/2 of a phen tablet and drink
water.
Walk 1 mile on the treadmill
Breakfast - 1 cup of Bran Flakes with Skim Milk
Coffee (yeah...not giving that up!)
Lunch - a salad with protein like grilled chicken or tuna
at about 3 p.m. I take the other half of my phen tablet
For Dinner I have whatever I make my family BUT I only have 3 bites of the entree or pasta or whatever and then have salad or V8 if I am still hungry. After dinner I walk another mile. And a few nights I skipped that to just hang out with my husband who seems to have ummm renewed his interests in spending more time with me
You guys, I am totally not just posting this not to brag and say, "hey, look at me" but just to say that this totally is doable. Even on the days I forgot to take my tablet, I was still much better able to stay on plan because I feel like I am actually retraining my whole mindset about food. Food is not my friend, it is not a hobby, not a way to celebrate, not a prize - it is just there to give me energy. Seriously, that is like a breakthrough for me.
I still have another 40 lbs to go, but this is the first time I have felt hope in YEARS - seriously. I logged back on today to link through and order next month's supply.
So thankful for the site, and ccbasket, it is a huge relief to know I won't have to go under the knife in another country

I'm pretty sure my husband will be relieved that I have given up that option!
Ian, I am so appreciative of all the stuff you have done for this site. You really have opened a door back to the old me and I am not trying be all full of drama, but I had all but given up on finding that girl again.
