I get those same headaches every night. I figured they were from stress becuase of nursing school. I have corelated my food intake with the headaches though. If I don't get enough calories during the day my head throbbs at night and little can be done to ease it besides tylenol. I know people recommed a 1000 calorie diet on P. But your body can rebell against that. Mine sits happy at 1200 to 1500. Which is still WAY below the 2500 it would take to maintain my 290 pounds.
By keeping track of your calories you can elimate one possibility. The next would be dehydration. Headaches and high blood pressure are some of the effects of not drinking enough H2O. When I started on Phentermine (4 or 5 days ago) I started drinking bottles of H20. about 160 ounces. The biggest benifit I had was the drop in my blood pressure.
As for sleep, take the pill EARLY in the AM!!! By early I mean 7 AM. I made the big mistake of taking one at 10 AM the day I got mine. It was an all nighter with thoughts racing and constant tossing. I finally broke down and took 1 meletonin (can find at Walmart) they are used to help induce sleep for those of us who don't want Rx sleep pills.
1 meletonin worked for me and I hit the sack 20 minutes later!! (the best side effect I get from meletonin is that I always wake up feeling refreshed whether i've had 4 hours of sleep or 8.
Hope some of this helps. There are lots of posts on here which is where I found some of my information. The rest is just experience. I am a newbie also but a few days can mean the world if you've been there too.
Good luck!
