Hi everyone ,

I am new here and I just wanted to say by reading some of the posts many of you have really given me hope that I can loose weight with phentermine, excersise, and dieting. After my first child I gained 80 pounds and by the second one I reached my current weight of 240. I am still waiting for my perscription to be filled to begin, I am very excited. I know I have a lot of work ahead of me but I am in this for the long haul. Thanks for your inspiration.....Wendy

army wife, so I am guessing your husband is military ...did you get the rx from a PM at the army hospital or did you have to get them online? see My husband is also military and the army hospital would not give me a rx, so I was wondering how you managed to get one, or if you went to a civilian doc on your own time.

My husband too is in the military. We are in Atlanta. So I am being seen by a civillian doc. The military and tricare will not cover the cost of the meds. But will pay for the gastro bypass as long as you meet the requirements. I personally will not take that risk I will continue doing what I am doing.

:p GOOD FOR YOU, DEBBIE!!You are a great example for us--don't risk your life if you don't HAVE to! I realize that for some, gastric bypass is the only way, but it is so much easier on you to do it the healthy way. I am REAL proud of you, Girlie!
Are your medicines real expensive?

The Phentermine 37.5 is $28.90, Dr. just prescribed Midren or something like that he gave me a sample. He said the cost of that one is at least 130.00. I know I can not afford that so I will be going back to the phentermine 37.5. I am not willing to take the risk of the gastro, granted there are days that it would be a whole lot easier. But that is not an option for me. It will be support groups like this that will make it easier and a motivater for me.
