Housekeeping Husband
My friend's husband is always telling her that housekeeping would be a snap if only she would organize her time better. Recently he had a chance to put his theory into practice while his wife was away.

When I popped in one evening to see how he was managing, he crowed, "I made a cake, frosted it, washed the kitchen windows, cleaned all the cupboards, scrubbed the kitchen floor, walls and ceiling and even had a bath."

I was about to concede that perhaps he was a better manager than his wife, when he added sheepishly, "When I was making the chocolate frosting, I forgot to turn off the mixer before taking the beaters out of the bowl, so I had to do all the rest."

Now do we really want our husbands cooking and cleaning?

Sounds as if he is trainable! I love to do all the work when I am able and many times my husband does all the work. But we are older and the kids are grown; seems I did everything all the time when they were smaller! Age adds a new gentleness to men...mellows them...it is a nice thing!:p
What I hate is when he enters 'my' kitchen and re-does my things or tries to correct me. Makes me feel guilty all the time because I am constantly doing that to him.:( Ah well, live and learn!

As I don't have a hubby, I can only comment on when I have lived with a partner, most of them have been ok round the house, but BLIND to any thing that is out of place or classed as clutter or mess!! I found myself running around after them a lot, which sucked, so I told them to pull their weight, which they failed to do :(

too funny.....
i've got 3 kids, so quite alot of my time is spent chasing/cleaning up after/cooking for them. Anytime my hubby has offered to do ANYTHING, like say laundry or dishes, I always end up having to re-do it anyway. It usually ends up being a bigger mess than what it was to begin with. Or he'll throw a pile of clothes in the washer, and neglect to fold and hangup, and want huge praises for the 30 seconds it took him to do what any monkey could. "Look honey i did the laundry!" as i stare (with one eye twitching uncontrollably) at the big, now wrinkly, pile of unseparated clothes on the couch.
I think he does it on purpose so I won't ever ask for help, lol.
