I have been on it for one month and I have loved it. I was really struggling with evening cravings. I take mine midmorning after a protein bar, work out in the afternoon, and then make sure I eat a healthy dinner. I don't always want to eat, but I make myself. I wish I would have taken this a long time ago.

Hi everyone. This is my first time posting to this thread, so here is my story.. sort of. I am 22 years old and not only did I gain the "freshman 10" when I entered college, I gained 50 lbs. since I was in college these last 5 years due to bad eating habits and ALWAYS eating out. 4 weeks ago, a friend and I started doing light exercise (I hadn't exercised in 7 years) like power walking and jogging. The first week, thanks to the Special K cereal challenge, I lost 4 lbs. and then I would lose only one lb. after that when I stopped doing the challenge after that one week. Today, I went to the doctor, got a B-12 shot, a meal plan and started taking my prescribed 37.5 mg Phentermine pills. So far today, it has really suppressed my appetite, but not so much energy. The doc recommended I do 30 mins. of cardio and 30 mins. of resistance for 5 days a week to start off. This sounds super hard but I am looking forward to meeting my weight loss goal with the help of this pill.

Hello everyone. I am starting day 3 on Phentermine and this morning I was down 4.4 pounds. Most of that is probably water but I don't care! I'm still thrilled. My doctor prescribed 37.5 and day 1 I took half of the pill and did great. Yesterday I took half in the morning 1 hour after having pineapples and cottage cheese and then I took another half about 5 minutes before lunch. Very bad idea! Way too strong for me with the second half. I became really nauseated and vomitted. I'm going to stick to just half in the mornings for now until I build tolerance and then add the 2nd half if needed. Wish me luck on my weight loss journey! I welcome any advice and tips along the way!
It would be helpful to know exactly when to take it, with food? without food? before food? after food?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and as well as phen. I went to a doctor and he prescribed me the phen 37.5 blue and white pill. I have been on it for a week and have lost 5 lbs. Im a little discouraged because i thought i would lose alot more. Does anyone have any advice?

mm, you are losing extremely well. To think of % values is much more telling than number digit values.

You should expect to lose 1% of your present weight weekly. If you are 170 pounds, you can eat healthy and lose 1.7 pounds per week safely. That is your weight x .01.

A 300 lb person could lose 3 pounds safely; a 100 lb person could lose 1.0 pounds safely. Anything beyond that is wonderful! Congrats~

I have already said something similar to this, but I am taking half the 37.5 in the morning, and only once a day. It's what the label says and my doctor hasn't said otherwise but should I increase it after a week or so of taking just the 1/2?
Also, I am taking it first when I wake up and today is the first day that I've been hungry at night, but is it better to eat and wait and then take it? I wake up in midmorning (9-11 am) and when I take it too late I have insomnia, an experience I do not want to happen again. I just want some advice. :/

I have been taking phentermine going on about 2 years. It really has become part of my lifestyle. The only thing is I cannot get past 190 - I think my body finally got immune to the pills. I tried not taking them, but then the hunger just comes back....any advice???
