Hi everyone,

I was adding a new page to the site and I realized we didn't have an official review thread for each type of Phentermine. This thread will be dedicated to the most popular type - Phentermine 37.5mg tablets.

If you use 37.5mg tablets for your weight loss, please share your review of how they work for you. Try to focus on helping others decide whether Phentermine is right for them.

Thanks for your help - you are helping thousands of people!

I guess this is a bit of a story as well as a review!

In November 2005 I decided to start getting healthy. I just felt that "click" inside and decided to act on it. I weighed 263. I've been obese all of my adult life - around 220 was my average - and a history of binge & purge. I have 2 daughters (ages 1 & 2) and really do not want them to remember me as "the fat Mom". At that time I felt I needed something to give me an extra edge and get me started. Some of my friends had had good luck on Phentermine. So I started taking Phentermine 37.5. I played around a bit with timing and dosage. Like first thing in the AM vs. after breakfast...1/2 pill broken on the score line vs. a whole pill...1/2 pill fist thing in the AM and 1/2 pill before lunch. What works best for me is to take 1 pill about 2 hours after breakfast on a empty stomach (including pop/coffee) and with lots of water.

I used Phentermine for 3 weeks the first time and then continued counting calories and exercising for a few months. The main reason I stopped after only 3 weeks was I started to have problems after a couple weeks falling back to sleep during the night - I had a young baby that was still waking often during the night - and I couldn't fall back to sleep after she did. By then I had started habits, didn't feel I needed the edge Phentermine provided me and I continued losing weight by counting calories and exercising. I try to eat 4-6 300 calorie meals a day with an emphasis on protein, drink lots of water and exercise at least 5 days/week. Then I hit a plateau after a few months and started the Phentermine again for a few weeks to get me out of the rut. So after months of losing weight, I'm on my 3rd cycle of Phentermine now. My weight loss has been far from fast. But, I didn't get this way overnight either. I had a really slow (only 10 pounds) weight loss this summer. I look forward to being out of the 200's soon though!

As far as side effects--they have been minimal. Like I mentioned, a couple weeks into the first time I used it, I did have a very hard time falling back to sleep in the middle of the night. During this most recent cycle I notice somedays I get a little light-headed/headachy and some nights I have to get up at take a Tylenol PM to get to sleep easily. The first time I used it I felt more "buzzed" and full of energy, but to be honest I don't feel "that" different on days when I use it and days I don't - except for the not "needing to eat" feeling. I'm actually feeling pretty good eating balanced and working out - that's done miracles for my energy on it's own! I am very careful to eat at least 1,200 calories when I'm taking Phentermine though - you could easily be WAY undereating on it. I don't want to mess up my metabolism by not eating enough. For me it isn't actually a "magic pill" - for example if I'm really stressed I can still find myself eating mindlessly - but it has been such a helpful tool when I do need that extra help along the way.

I weigh 218 right now and still have a long road ahead of me. But I'm very encouraged with my progress so far and know that I'll just continue plugging away! What's my other option? Not even going there!

Lejaro, that was a GREAT post! Thank you for making it. It takes time to gather your thoughts and explain them well and I appreciate that effort. I especially like that your ideas are so balanced and that you eat the right foods in the right way. That's a great motivator for those who do not do that, to get started and to to do it RIGHT this time. We haven't learned anything if we haven't learned habits that will carry us through our lifetime, right?
My weight loss is s-l-o-w, also, but steady. I take the same phentermine you do, 37.5 mgs., about 2 hours after breakfast, on an empty stomach. I have not cycled off it yet. I have about 5 pounds to go to reach my goal but they are buggars to get rid of. I will just keep doing what I am doing!
Do you have a journal yet?

Thanks, Susan. It helps to write things out even if just for ourselves! And that leads me to "No" I do not have a journal. Do you mean like a blog spot? Not sure what/where you mean. I should, I suppose. I'm so busy with my 2 little ones and working part-time...that I don't get online & participate all that much. I do journal my food and exercise at www dot nutridiary dot com though. It's an easy format for me and I can save customized meals/foods. Sounds like you are doing great. It's so interesting to see how everyone is different and does what works for them best.

Well, off to Farmer's Market to stock up of fruit and veggies! Have a good day.

I had ordered the 37.5 from the Other site- and now I think I got ripped off. When I'd take it, I would feel lethargic and my appetite was ravenous. Then a few weeks ago, I ordered from here- and boy did I feel a difference! I've lost 10 pounds according to my high- tech digital scale. I take it in the morning and have a Monster energy drink- it really gives me a boost. i don't really get hungry, but I make myself eat. I also try to drink plenty of water, since my throat gets so dry I feel as if something is stuck back there. I couldn't believe it when I got on the scale- I still don't. I'm so used to staying the same or gaining. I'm so excited! I'm not lookin' to wear a bikini or anything, I just want to shop for normal sizes and look halfway decent.

Hello Everyone,
I am a newbie on the forums, and have been reading everything here about this, and see that others had these issues also. I got a prescription a couple of months ago, and it was great. Had alot of energy, and no appetite, and lost alot of weight. Than last month, i ordered from a different pharmacy, and they were the same 37.5 white with Blue specs, and A-159 stamped on them. I don't know what was stamped on the ones from the first pharmacy, but i wish i did. Well this last prescription is a total opposite. No energy, and my stomach is actually growling all the time, and i think about food all day. Also cravings for sweets now. The first script was totally opposite. I am thinking because they are from diffent manufactuars maybe? But how could they be that much different? It doesn't make sense, and it is driving me crazy. They were both legit U.S. pharmacies. I know everyone reacts different with the Phen, but i had totally opposite experiences with the same meds. Also i took 2 weeks off after the first script, so i know it isn't because i was getting immune to them. If anyone could please shed some light, i would appreciate it.
Thanks
