Hello Everyone!! I am new to this forum and thought I would tell you a little about myself. I was in the Navy from 88 to 94. In 1993 I got pregnant and gained over 60 pounds  . I went from 130 to 192 just before giving birth to my son. After I got out of the navy I joined Jenny Craig and lost 20-30 pounds only to gain it all back then some. I have managed to stay heavy all this time and due to the weight gain have developed Diabetes 2, High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol. I am only 36 and that is way too many health problems to be having this young. So I went to my doctor and told her although I hate taking any more pills.....I need help!!! It's either the pills or the gastric bypass and that scares the you know what out of me. So I started the Phentermine on 9-15-06 at 218.5lbs and boy do I have energy and eat less than I did before!! I have alreay lost 7 pounds my first week and I am very hopefull for the weeks to come!! Good luck to everyone!!

MamaKas, welcome to PhenForum! I am so glad you have joined us here. You will love just clicking all over this forum and reading everyone's journals under the thread called "Phentermine Support". I do hope you will start your own journal there. You can even just copy and paste this post you wrote into a new journal that you can start under that thread. It will make it SO much easier for everyone to meet you and will allow us to introduce ourselves to you.
 GIRL!!! We ALL know WAY too well what it's like to lose and then gain again and again. I have lost at least 700 pounds over my lifetime then gained it back! And those little pounds had babies and brought them to live on my hips as well!
With re-learning to eat and exercise the RIGHT way, this can be the VERY LAST TIME in our lives than any of us has to diet...ever ...again. Isn't THAT exciting?? "BAM! Oh, yeah, Babe!", as Emeril says!
Post again soon, and let us meet you under that thread. Together we CAN DO THIS!!!

Hi, Mariskin! Remember that though weight loss and more ease in our movements are big benefits of phentermine, the most important thing is to use this time of better self control to become healthy. Don't guess when it comes to these questions. See your doctor, or, just in case you feel you cannot, go see one of your local firemen. They are well trained in medical assistance and you will find you can be upfront and honest with them. Please write back and let me know what you have decided to do~ and post as often as youwill!

Hey Mariskin,

You need to talk to your Doctor if you have high blood pressure and see what he or she suggests. I have to admit I am bad about checking my blood pressure regularly. I take Isinopril 12.5 mg for my high blood pressure once a day. I can normally tell when my BP is up and I haven't really noticed it being too high while I have been taking Phentramine and I have been taking it for a month now. My Doctor prescribed it to me though. So if yours is not prescribed, then I can't stress enough for you to seek your doctors advice. You don't want to risk anything with your health.

Always best to check out with a trained medical practioner as we can only listen and share our experiences as we aren't trained medically (although I think Ian is)
