Anyone here have high blood pressure and taking phentermine? I was on phentermine years ago and lost 50 pounds FAST! Stayed super then even after I went off. The med is addicting but it does work. In the meantime I have had 2 babies and was on IV steroids during my last pregnancy. So I gained a little weight back which bummed me out because even after my first baby nobody could believe I had a baby, the 2nd one came 15 months later and yep, you can tell I had a baby! lol

My doctor will only prescribe Meridia (with caution) because I have developed hypertension and I have a string family history of heart disease. But Merida doesnt seem to work as well. Just like to hear from anyone else who is in medication to control their BP and takiing phentermine.

You got that one right! It is dangerous to stay above 140. Most doctors say the top number of your BP should be <130.

There are sites to check the interactions of your drugs. Try at least 2 and check out your particular ones... and let us know, please~

I take Azor 5/40 and hydrochlorize. After I gave birth the first time my BP shot up to 160/110 after I gave birth the 2nd time it shot up to 191/110. they dont know why. Right now my BP is between 95/58 - 111/70 but thats with medication.

I lost almost 10 pounds in 3 weeks just dieting the good old fashioned way, so I think I can do it. Just sooooo much easier with phentermine. I never had to diet when I took phentermine, I love the medication. I took it for 10 plus years and never had issues with BP back then.

I take 30mg of lisinopril (bp med), 1000mg metformin (twice a day to keep my blood sugars in check) and 37.5mg of phentermine each day.
