Phentermine, like many other prescription drugs, works with chemicals called neurotransmitters in your brain. It actually stimulates your neuron bundles to release a particular group of neurotransmitters known as catecholamines, these include dopamine, epinephrine (formally known as adrenalin), and norepinephrine (noradrenalin). They signal a fight or flight response in your body which, in turn, puts a halt to the hunger signal. As a result, you lose your appetite because your brain doesn’t receive the hunger message. This is perhaps due to phentermine’s affects on leptin levels in the brain. It is theorized that phentermine can raise levels of leptin which signal satiety. It is also theorized that increased levels of the catecholamines are partially responsible for halting another chemical messenger know as neuropeptide Y. This chemical initiates eating, decreases energy expenditure, and increases fat storage. Here’s a simple explanation of what a neurotransmitter is:

Neurotransmitters are chemicals in your nervous system and brain. They act as messengers, relaying electrical messages between the cells (neurons) of the nervous system or brain. Some people have naturally low levels of neurotransmitters. This condition may lead to diseases such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and obesity, and others.

Prescription drugs work by moving neurotransmitters from one place to another, but do nothing to increase the supply of neurotransmitters in the nervous system or brain. These drugs trick your brain into thinking there are more neurotransmitters than there actually are. Because of this, your brain slows down the production of neurotransmitters.

To learn more about how to help your body produce higher amounts of
neurotransmitters, see the Phentermine tolerance report I have compiled:

Phentermine Tolerance Report

If anyone has anything to add about how Phentermine works, please do! Please correct me if I'm wrong about anything, and enlighten us if I failed to mention something.

ok ian spill your phen report to us without going through all the loopholes. It's a pain in the but and I really want the report. I've built a tolerance to phen. I loved it when I first took it. Now, I can't get the same effect. Don't think I will ever have that effect again.

Did you sign up for it but never receive it? Let me know what the problem was.

Also, can you PM me your email address so I can try to send it to you?

I didn't have to write it, you know, and I don't charge for it. Also, it is
a bit long for posting here, and other webmasters will steal the text
and put it on their sites.

I am just curious Ian. Why are you so interested in phentermine? From your picture, you seem very slim. Thanks for answering my dumb questions.

Your questions aren't dumb.

Maybe I should take my picture down unless I tell my story all over the
site. hehe. See I used to weight 210-214 in late 7th grade, and I felt at
least some of the suffering that other people who are overweight deal
with every day.

Through high school I developed better eating habits and began to take
an interest in exercise because of even the smallest results I could feel
and see when I made good changes.

I ended up losing all the weight, and I weight 165 or so now. During the
last part of high school I became involved in the online pharmacy world,
and I was angry toward all the people who just push pills without info,
and without prescriptions many times. They destroyed alot of the industry,
and they hurt quite a few people through their carelessness.

I just started PhenForum this year out of interest, as I love to build
websites and learn new things, and help people as much as I can in my
limited knowledge. Well, it's just kept growing until it became what it
is today. I hope someday to make a bit of income off of the site, but
that won't work right now. I'd wreck it.

Anyway, I guess I've just developed an interest in many aspects of
weight loss, and Phentermine was one of the medications I've learned
about in the past year or so.

P.S. Were you able to sign up to receive the tolerance report?

Let me know if you need me to send it to your email address, and
have a great holiday weekend.
