Wow! I am glad you checked it out too. It is scary to think about thing like this, but better to be scared and aware than to have something bad happen that coould have been stopped.

Exactly Cyn, that is why I added it to my daily research as soon as the docs office called and said he couldn't take it with his Paxil.

They might let him try it if we lived closer but right now our doc is an hours drive away from us so we can't get in their for monthly appointments.

Good information, especially because not all doctor's are familiar with all interactions or might miss a drug you are taking.

Tell me about it. There was a different drug that one doc prescribed, it is one at ours docs office who we don't normally see, and our pharmacist caught a potentially deadly reaction for my DH. I also caught one a year or so ago. So now, I just automatically check every new drug they prescribe, just in case.

Even though he works are a large chain store, Eckerd, we have an excellent pharmacist.

I think your story really shows the importance of continually using the same pharmacy. Then they can help catch mistakes a doctor makes!

You are right, it is very important, by keeping all your meds in one pharmacy, not only do you have that feature, but it also makes it much more convenient when you need refills.
