I have had a prescription of Phentermine 37.5 for several weeks now. I have tried to begin three times. Each time I end up very constipated and also with a sore tongue. I read of the constipation problem, but no where have I found mention of a sore tongue being a side effect? Anyone else heard of this?

I have never heard of this and it didnt happen to me when I did take phen. Hopefully Ian might have some idea when he sees this post. The only thing I wonder is it sore like swollen--like possibly and allergic reaction? or sore like having sores actually on your tongue?? Either way I am sorry I dont have any answers for you but maybe you should check with your doctor to be safe. I do know that I was very thirsty when I did take phen. Drinking lots of water will help with constipation and dry mouth too. I hope you find some answers soon.

Sore Tongue? Do you mean like blisters that hurt?

My tongue got a little sore with 30's but it was because I was too hyper and moving it around all the time in my mouth. As soon as I became aware of it, I stopped doing it and my tongue got better.

I don't know. I never heard of such a thing. Perhaps you drank or ate something hot? Maybe a tastebud is swollen (I get that sometimes when I have too much food high acidity in it.) Other than that I can't think of anything else.

Gee
I have never heard of that? Ian could help.Is it your throat or are you scaping it with your teeth without realizing it. That is strange. Maybe your mouthwash is to harsh. I guess phen made your tongue sensitive.
Maybe your moving it round when your mouth is closed and don't realize it.
I'm sitting here trying these things on myself trying to figure out some suggestions.
Well i hope this helps.

I too, have never heard of a sore tongue. I know mine feels weird kind of like cotton sometimes because my mouth is so dry but not really sore. AS for the constipation, the phen does make it worse but my doc told me to first have a very good cleansing once or twice then take a fiber supplement. I use the super dieters tea and only drink 1/2 cup or you are in trouble then I take benefiber powder in decap coffee or take citrucel fiber tabs of a night. This has helped me and I have IBS with constipation without taking the phen.

I know that when I wake up in the morning, my tongue is swollen because I grind my teeth at night. So...maybe that's happening to you? I have no idea! Maybe get it checked out with your Dr.

KrisD - What is the dieter's tea you are talking about?
