Hello All,
I have an appt. at my Dr.'s office on friday and I'd like to try and get her to represcribe me phentermine. The problem is I'm not technically obese; i.e. my BMI is under 30, but not MUCH under 30. I was prescribed phentermine about a year ago, and it really helped me with my weightloss, like nothing else has. Basically, I just want some help on my diet because I exercise every day and eat right, but I have a very hard time losing weight and its a real buzz kill. Do you think it's possible my Dr. can still prescribe me the medication, or will she likely flat out reject the idea? Cheers...
Lucy

Welcome, Lucylicious. I think that your doctor may go ahead and
give you a phentermine prescription because you are close to 30.

If you eat the wrong foods or just overeat even the right foods,
that is definitely an area where Phentermine can make it easier
to improve things, i.e. you won't crave...

But, I guess you know that already since you took it before.
What exactly is your BMI? I know that 27 is also an option.

What's up Ian, thanks for your reply. Glad to be on the forum. My BMI is just under 30. I'm 5'7 and 190 lbs. Were I 200 lbs, that would make me have a BMI of 30...so, yeah, if that makes any sense. I'm hoping that my Dr. will give me the green light on the phentermine, 'cause I'd like to lose a little weight before college starts back up in the fall! Who knows though...I always feel nervous asking Doctors about stuff like this. I feel like they think I want the easy way out, when the truth is I've been trying for quite a while to lose weight by exercising and watching what I eat, but experience very little success. Also my boyfriend is not too into the chemical properties of phentermine (that it works on the central nervous system, etc), so egh. But I'll see what happens, anyway!
Cheers,
Lucy

Yeah, I know. It's just really expensive. Anyway, I got my Dr. to do it so it's all good.
