side effects

i've noticed i've been bruising more easily and the bruises are bigger and darker than if i bruised before. i even have one on my toe from when my cat ran over it and scratched me. has anybody noticed this too. i have checked everything and i cant find anything on bruising

How long have you been taking it? Also what do you eatting habbits look like and for how long have they been that way?

Ive been on it since june 9. For breakfast I have cereal and yogurt. for a snack I'll have fruit or those 100 calories snacks. Lunch I've been having salad and a lean cuisine or a weight watchers frozen dinner, and some fruit or a sandwhich. Dinner I'll have a salad and frozen dinner, or subway, or vegetarian pasta w/ a salad, and a bowl of fruit and yogurt. When I'm at work I put a bunch of those 100 calorie fruit snacks, graham crackers, ritz snacks and wheat thins, so I'll have one of those for a snack after dinner, or a bowl of cereal. If I don't have time to make something in between jobs, I got that CALORIE KING FAST FOOD BOOK. It has listings of all kinds of fast food places and restaurants, so I can look at the nutrition values and find something more healthy. You can get that online at CALORIEKING.COM. I have one in my house and one in my car. I have really been watching what I eat and have been cutting back on the junk food and increasing my fruits and vegtables and drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day, so I really don't know why I'm bruising so easily.

I didn't even think about it until I read your entry but I, too, have been bruising more easily. For instance, when I had my B12 shots I've been getting very large and dark bruises. Whereas I have never bruised from a shot before. As a matter of fact I have bruised in weird places.

It could be that with the increase in heart rate would of course cause the blood to flow faster and could make bruising more common and more intense (I imagine that the increased rate of blood flow could also thin the blood - which causes easy bruising).
Also, if you have taken any medication for a headache or anything with aspirin that would cause bruising because Aspirin is a blood thinner.

Yeah it's also taking the bruises a long time to heal too. I've never had a bruise on my toe before. At first I thought it was dirt and I was scrubbing the hell out of it and it wouldn't come off, then I realized it was a bruise. That answer makes sense. I take motrin for headaches and stuff, and with that I can't take aspirin either. The pharmacist said motrin was ok to take with the phen.
