THanks LoveBliss.

I do not know where to get the things Ian sends out. I really do not think overeating has ever been a problem. I gained 50lbs with a 10lb baby and have been at 170-175 since. I have never weighed that much in my life except when I delivered my first baby at exactly 176lbs. I lost that right away. Not so fortunate the second time around. Just not disciplined. I am at 153-150 back and forth. I want to get to at least 145. I am 5*6 so I feel that is a good weight for me. I look forward to speaking to you again.

Are you sure that these effects are what you want. Is that last 5 to 8 pounds important enough to go through not sleeping for days(which is VERY unhealthy), hair loss, shaking. I understand using the medications to help you when you are getting started, or when you are severely obese, but I just have to question whether the benefit is worth the cost in your case. I do not take any medications, not because I am against them, I just have a very addictive personality and have problems taking anything. I have lost 11 pounds in the past 4 weeks and still have 118 to go. I have set my goal for a year from now so I can reach my healthy weight at a healthy rate, which from what I have been able to find is considered 2 pounds a week. My goal actually has me at 2.5 per week but that's ok. Apparently losing faster than that can cause other health problems as well, not to mention that you are shrinking faster than your skin can keep up. I can't afford the tummy tuck so I'll stick with slow and steady. I'm not trying to say that you are wrong in any way, I just wanted to give you another angle to look at things from. Good luck :?

Zoey-

Thanks for the concerns. Actually, I sleep now. That was when I first started on the meds. That was only for about the first four days. I sleep fine now. The protein and dairy I can correct. I just didn't realize that I was lacking in any area. I should have but just did not think about it. I have actually considered stopping it for a couple of weeks. I just dread the first four days all over again. My eyes were so tired but my brain would not shut down-that sucks-I don't know. I am trying to read everything on it to make my decision. And I could really shake when I have too much coffee  I need to watch that and really pay attention to see if I am correct. I do not drink alot of it but one venti starbucks and that will do it

Well, I'm glad your looking at the health aspects. To keep tabs on your nutritional level you might want to check out FitDay.com. It's a free service that lets you log in all of your food intake, activities and such and will monitor how you are doing. Shows percentages of nutrition and such. I really suggest you look it over. I just found it a couple of days ago myself, but I'm already learning more about what I'm doing and ways to improve my progress.

Maybe you should cut down on the starbucks, maybe to a grande or tall could help. If you do stop taking them and are having trouble sleeping when you start back up make sure that you have extra things to do during the day so you can use up the extra energy that day.

The first days I started I did all of my laundry and cleaned my house. Also if you can excersice a little extra that day you should not have any problems sleeping.

I hope this helps :gogol:

Hey Marykay girl. I'm only on 15mg and I took it twice a day. Now I'm taking one a day because I only have a couple of weeks left. Mine was prescribed by a dr for only 3 months. Try a smaller dose and see how you do. I feel asleep just fine when I started. On phen you're not supposed to have caffine at all or even take sudaffed. While on phen I have changed they way I have eaten and I have done very well on it. I weighed myself today and I have lost 31.1 pounds. It's also not guaranteed that the weight will stay off once off of phen. That's why a whole lifestyle change is needed while you take it. I know that once I stop taking it I will really have to watch what I eat and make sure I am counting my calories, drinking water, and exercising. It seems like an easy fix, but you have to be ready to change your eating habits once you stop taking it. Before I wasn't eating that bad, it was the portion sizes and I would eat to the point I felt sick. Taking the phen has helped me eat smaller portions and Iam training myself to stop when I feel satisfied. I don't have to finish everything on my plate and if I have desert it's ok to just take one or two bites just to get that taste. Sometimes that's all we want is just the taste of something. Good luck to you. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Well MayMay & Everyone it's been awhile since I have been on, and I'm now at a total loss of 46lbs, I want to lose 20lbs still and I seem to be stuck, I dont know if I should stop taking the phentermine for awhile or what? I only have 19 days of pills left then it will be my total 3 months. What do you think I should do? oh and I'm down to 141 lbs now, But I am very small framed, and my doc said 120-125 would be ideal for me.
