So, when I reach my goal....what next? Do I keep taking it? You know most diets or pills, once you stop you gain it back almost immediately...I do know that if I stop taking it, I would have to eat smart and exercise, and not go back to my old ways. Thanks guys...by the way I'm new here

Hi Elizabeth. You can make sure you do'nt gain the weight back after
stop taking Phentermine. Use Phentermine as a boost to help your body
get used to eating the right amounts of the right foods. You also need
to start walking or jogging 3-5 times a week, unless your joints are
under too much stress. What is your current weight?

Here's the basic formula to keeping the weight off:

Phentermine + Cardiovascular Exercise + Eating Right = Teaching your body to like your new lifestyle.

New Lifestyle after Phentermine = Permanent weight loss!

Thanks for your reply Ian, very nice. Well I'm 35, 5'6 and my weight back in feb 05 was 170, today I'm 145. I think I should lose another 15 lbs, I still feel that Phentermine is working, it cuts my appetite down, but I haven't lost anymore weight in about a month

Have you checked you BMI range. you are pretty tall. I am almost 5'3 and my BMI is usually between 125-135. there are a lot of sites that can give you all that info. You might just need to get toned with excersice and build mass instead of loosing weight.

Check out FitDay.com It has lots of useful info on weight guidelines, nutrional needs, and more. Lots of helpful charts that can help you keep track of how you're doing. Where your calories are coming from, how you're burning them, weight loss monitoring, and more.

With portion sizes so big these days everyone over eats. The phen just helps you eat less by making you less hungry so you will teach yourself to eat the right amount of food and not eat the big portion size. So when you get off the phen and your not watching the portion sizes or your calorie and fat intake you will gain the weight back. I'm amazed at how much I would eat before I started taking it compared to what I eat now.

May is exactly right. The most imporrtant thing is making the lifestyle changes and you have to think of using the medication as a tool to help make those changes, not as something that's going to do the job for you. I want to give us all a big hand for working hard to better our own lives!!!
