I have found that anytime you start a weight loss program, the first week or so you always lose alot more than average. This has alot to do with your body getting rid of alot of waste, excess fluids, and such. If you continue losing at that rate, I would definitely call your doctor because that is too fast for continued weight loss. 1-2 pounds a week is considered healthy. Anything more than 3 could indicate you losing muscle instead of fat. For the first week, however I wouldn't worry about it. You need to eat at least 3 meals a day. Even better if you can divide it up into 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day and don't forget WATER!!!
