to use Phentermine? I am not considered to be overweight but I would love to lose about 20-25 lbs. I am 5-7 and weigh 160lbs. Would a doctor prescribe me this pill?

I just wanted to loose 20-25 as well, my regular Dr would not prescribe because my BMI was not high enough, but I found out that Bariactric Dr's or weight loss centers will prescribe much easier. Good luck!

hello, i'm new here and stumbled upon the site while searchin online for phentermine (unsuccessfully might I add). I'd like to lose about 20 pounds. i currently weigh 133 pounds, am about 5 feet tall, and hate to look at myself in the mirrow. I work full time, have 3 boys, and am married. I am always tired! I've tried to get a perscription from my doctor, but failed in my quest. phentermine really helped me in the past and I am desperate to find it again. my birthday is soon approaching, and I would love to be slim and trim for the big day!

That might be the ticket...trying to locate those bariatric doctors in your state. You might also click on some of their posted websites. They do have discretion as to the BMI number but are looked at extremely closely by the AMA if they stray much~

The ASBP is a medical association dedicated to the treatment of obesity and related disorders - The American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP) Members of the ASBP are trained to treat us. You can access your state: to view a listing of ASBP doctors by state, please click here.E-mail: bariatric@asbp.org www.asbp.org

I'd love to know what you find out!

Most doctors in my area are strict about your BMI being within the guidelines. It has to be at least 24.5 or higher to qualify for the medication.

Some doctors dont even go by BMI here...but they will cut you off if they think you have lost enough.
