I'm glad to hear your going to keep at it.!! Your not alone. We all know how hard it is. But it'll definitely be worth it in the end.

I just wanted to add that you should also vary your routine. If you do the same thing each time your body will get used to that and it won't help as much.

By varying your workouts you'll use different muscles/parts of your body and that is what you want.

Good luck

Ah, I see. Well then it will take longer, but you'll definitely win out if you
keep going as you say. Thanks for sharing and keep us posted!

Thanks for your thoughts.
Just one question though. How is the elliptical machine not as rigorous as a brisk run or walk?
This is an entire body workout as both your legs and your arms are in motion at a very fast pace.
Also, my trainer said that I need to be working at a speed that I am "breathy" or not able to hold a conversation during the workout. That is the intensity I am performing at.
I don't understand why you said it would take me longer to lose at that rate. I'm burning a substancial amount of carlories in that 40 minutes, more than I ever have on a treadmill walking at a pace of 4 miles per hour.

Just to clear that up, before you told me how many calories you were
actually burning for sure, I had to assume that like most people, you did
the elliptical at a relaxed pace, but for a long time.

Since you're doing it intensely so that your breathy enough that it's
hard to hold a conversation, that's good. Just keep it up. You're doing
everything right. I didn't know you had a trainer, and most people
just don't know what works. I'm glad you do!
