Hi.
I've been on Phentermine 30mg for 5 weeks now an I've only dropped several pounds. I'm doing 40 minutes of cardio along with strength training 4 days per week. I'm also following Weight Watchers and drinking about 32oz of water per day.
Has anyone out there not lost on one pill, but changed dosages and lost thereafter? I'm considering switching to the 37.5mg in hopes that the higher dosage will help.
Any avdvice?
Thanks. :???:

Hey!

What foods do you generally eat? The types of foods you're eating can
really affect how much weight you lose, regardless of how many calories
they have in them, so in that respect, Weight Watchers is flawed.

You should drink more water, though. Try to get somewhere between
60-80oz of water daily.

I'm not sure how much difference it's going to make if you switch to
Phentermine 37.5mg. Are you noticing that you're hungry a lot of the time?
If the 30mg isn't suppressing your appetite at all, then 37.5 won't help.

If your appetite is suppressed and you're still not losing weight, you need
to look into changing your diet in terms of foods that you eat.

Thanks for your thoughts and insights, Ian.

Hmmm, now as far as my Weight Watchers weight loss plan, I'm following the guidelines that are set as far as their eating standards. A mix of the major food groups, including proteins and carbs, but keeping it in a "point range" according to my weight.

Wow! Thats alot of H2O!! I went from drinking 3-5 cans of Diet Coke a day to 1! And from drinking 0oz of water to 32-40oz. There are days I can barely get in the 32oz! Guess I better up my water intake!

The Phentermine 30mg does seem to be supressing my appetite. So with that being said, there is no reason to switch or even be taking the 30s at this point, right?

Thanks again for for insights!
JC

I just wanted to add that if your doing weights too. Your probably building muscle (which is good) But on the scale, it might not show it. Muscle weighs more than fat. Are you measuring yourself? You may be losing in inches too.

Don't give up.!! You can do it..

They say you didn't put the weight on over night, its not going to come off overnight, kwim..

That is awesome that you cut back on the pop.

Keep up the good work.

Yeah, good points, Leigh! Maybe you're just gaining muscle and losing
inches at the same time. I've haven't gained that much muscle and I weight
about 15 pounds more now. Also, great job on stopping the diet coke drinking.
I used to do that too. I had maybe even 10 in a day while I was working
away on my computer making websites.

You CAN and I'm sure you will do this. Water will become more and more
appetizing the longer you stick with it. Water is SOOO good to me now.

Thanks again for the words of encouragement. Its very discouraging to be working this hard at something an not seeing the results.

Along with the ellipitcal machine, I am doing a weight/strength training that was set for me to help with my weightloss by a trainer at my gym. I did not have her take my measurements. I should have. I would think by now I would be seeing it in my clothes and not just by the numbers on the scale.

I still have a few more weeks left of pills. I'll keep plugging along and then make the decision on whether to order more as it gets closer.

Thanks again.

Hmm... how intense is your workout on the elliptical machine?
Is it almost the speed of jogging? You'd lose more weight if you
went on 40 minute walks instead.

Yes, it is a pretty intense workout, especially for someone who is about 45 pounds overweight.

I'm doing my 40 minute elliptical workout on a level two. I'm buring anywhere between 450 to 500 calories depending on the day. With that, I am also doing the weight machines for arms, legs, hips and chest along with squats with a weighted bar. From start to finish my workout is about one hour and fifteen minutes. Again, this is four times per week at a gym.

I have a foot condition (Plantar Fasciaitis) that does not allow me to do lenghty walks or use the treadmill. The repetitve motion is hard on the foot. I am under the care of a Podiatrist.

Again, I'll keep chuggin' along!!
THanks!
