Recently during my doctor's visit, I discussed my frustration over the tolerance and asked if she'd consider switching my medication. She asked for more info if I knew of an alternative.
Several people at my job go to a weight loss clinic and that doctor prescribes something called Phendimetrazine Tartrate at 35 mg, I believe this is just a generic form of Bontril ...something similar to Adipex, etc.

Does anyone have some really good info on this Phendimetrazine to pass on here?
The dosage spread is something like 1 tab 3 times a day for the first week, they they up it to 2 pills 3 x daily and my co-workers describe it very similar to what I experienced when I first tried phentermine...hot flashes, sweat, high energy, little or no appetite, great, great weight loss...one friend started in Nov 2005 at 318 pounds and lost 14 in just her first week and a half and so far has lost a total of 30 lbs, it has only been 2 months. Please anyone who has info, reputable, accurate information that is..please share! How does it compare to Phentermine?

I had my third baby 3 months ago and am trying to get rid of the excess weight I put on. I recently tried Phendimetrazine, (used phentermine to shed the extra pounds with the last) and it seemed to work for the first week.

Phendimetrazine had less side effects, it didn't make me as irritable as the phentermine, but after the first week, I didn't lose any weight either. I even tried taking two - three, split up through the day and all at one time, didn't matter-still lost it's effectiveness. I can't afford to take 4-6 a day so I guess I'm going back to phentermine.

I took 105mg of Phendimetrazine and it was not as effective for me. It alsi gave me horrible headaches. I went to a weight loss clinic after I had my first son and the doctor prescribed Phentermine in the AM and Phedimetrazine in the PM. That combo workd really well but I can't afford to take both anymore.

That is what I have been taking. Side effects not bad at all. I started jan. 19 and am down 35.5 lbs!
I am feeling I may have platued though, so I shall pick up some of the calcium.Does anyone know why that makes a difference?

Bird girl did you pick up the CALCIUM PRYUVATE? I looked for it this morning on my way to work at Wal-Mart and they didnt carry it. If you get some let me know where you got it, and the price.
