Hi, I'm new here and just started the 37.5 phentermine pills. I've taken them before in the past and they worked great. I just gave birth to my 4th child so I'm ready to get rid of this xtra weight.
I was wondering what does your heart rate normally run on the phentermine? I took my bp and heart rate, my bp was good but my heart rate was 122. This was not exercising, but walking around the house. I was just wondering what other people experience with hr.

Thanks!
Lisa

Hi Lisa I was wondering the same thing. I was hoping that it wasn't just

me. My heart rate is always above the normal fat burning rate when I'm

working out. Ive been on it for about 45 days now. So I'm assuming that

an increased heart rate is a side effect. It will be interesting to see if

others are experiencing the same thing. :???:

That is a side, i do believe it is because it speeds your metabolic rate up (thermagenic) you know how some diet pills like xantrax 3 and others are thermagenics well phen is a appitite suppresor as well as a thermagenic so what you feel is your metabolic rate so in all reality your burning fat just sitting there dont get to happy not a lot like you would exercising but some that is why you are asked if you have high blood pressure your not supposed to take this pill. I havent been to doc in a while (lost ins) but i go to my pharmacy when i take it and check my blood pressure on those machines. I am going by what ive read though not a dr so if anything i say is wrong please feel free to call me on it.Good luck to all of us!!!!!

My heart rate is higher than it was, particularly when I'm exercising. I used to struggle to get it into the cardio zone... now no problem. I actually have had to slow down my normal pace to keep my heart rate where it belongs.

My blood pressure was slightly elevated the first week but it has also evened out. It was 100/60 at the endo the day before I started. On Tuesday at the PCP it was 100/72. And my pulse was higher for me than usual (76 instead of 68) but none of it is abnormally high so I'm not worried. And neither is my doctor. I worry about this stuff A LOT because I used to be on meds for high blood pressure, but I got off them through diet (limiting salt, eliminating caffeine) and exercise. I don't want to go back!

Anyway, I've decided, and just like Tammy I have no idea if I'm right or not, that the Phen has raised my metabolism (hooray) and that has in turn kicked up the ol' heart a bit. I think I'm just burning more calories naturally than I was before. Who knows? I feel great! Ellen
