My heart rate is higher than it was, particularly when I'm exercising. I used to struggle to get it into the cardio zone... now no problem. I actually have had to slow down my normal pace to keep my heart rate where it belongs.
My blood pressure was slightly elevated the first week but it has also evened out. It was 100/60 at the endo the day before I started. On Tuesday at the PCP it was 100/72. And my pulse was higher for me than usual (76 instead of 68) but none of it is abnormally high so I'm not worried. And neither is my doctor. I worry about this stuff A LOT because I used to be on meds for high blood pressure, but I got off them through diet (limiting salt, eliminating caffeine) and exercise. I don't want to go back!
Anyway, I've decided, and just like Tammy I have no idea if I'm right or not, that the Phen has raised my metabolism (hooray) and that has in turn kicked up the ol' heart a bit. I think I'm just burning more calories naturally than I was before. Who knows? I feel great! Ellen
