Been on phentermine for a few months and it is no longer working. Well, technically it is working as I have not gained, but I haven't lost anymore either (I still have about 30 to go).

Has anyone switched to phendimetrazine or didrex after tolorance issues with phentermine and continued to lose weight?

I would like to change to either of these to see if I can continue losing but would like feedback as to whether it worked when you switched and for how long.

Also, if you switched back to phentermine after Phend or didrex, did the phentermine work again.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

It would probably help you to read Ian's tolerance report...here's the link for that
http://www.phenterminereport.com/

Also, I haven't tried any other medications for weight loss except for the Phentermine. My doctor told me that it's best not to take it longer than 120 days, because any longer than that and you won't feel the effects anymore. Actually the only thing Phen is, is an appetite suppresant so it's performance is actually only to make you feel full pretty much. I was told to stop taking it after the 120 days and give your body a break from it. By now you probably have learned ways to eat better and things to do to continue w/ the weight loss until you have had enough time for your body to get over the Phen. After a while you might can then start taking it again if you feel you need to. That might work for you. Maybe someone else can give you details about the other meds if this doesn't work for you or you don't want to try this aproach. Hope I helped some!

I had the same problems with Phentermine, after about two weeks, I didn't feel the effects anymore. What my doctor ended up doing was alternating my medications. I would take phentermine (adipex) for two weeks, then Bontril for two weeks.
