You have to be careful with the shakes. Sometimes you will not intake enough of certain vitamins that your body needs. Try finding out what amount of each vitamin and mineral you need as well as the amount of calories. Look at the labels on the back of the shakes and add up how much of each thing you'd get from 3 a day. If it is not comparable to what you need then you know you need to intake something else.
You should try to eat some small healthy meals. It would probably be better for you metabolism and your stomach in the long run. I know when I haven't eaten much over the course of several days, returning to real meals is quite painful. Good luck with your weight loss.
