When I first did phen (from a dr.), he also suggested that I take methylcellulose (citrucel or store brand fiber therapy) caplets. I was told to take 4-5 when hungry and if I were still hungry then to go ahead and eat. I lost about 60 pounds in 3 months back then.

I had been off phen for years and started again about a year ago. When i started, I took the fiber as well and I lost 40 pounds. Took a little longer this time. Stopped taking the fiber after about 2 months.

I still have about 30 to go and I remembered the fiber. I started taking it last week and after a 6 month plateau (I wasn't really dieting, just trying to maintain), I decided to batten down the hatches and really do it well (I also want to lose 15 lbs by the 1st since we're going to Vegas.

Anyways, I switched from the 37.5 tablet to the blue/clear 30mg caps and take 4-5 of the fiber pills before meals. I've also added a lot more water then I was drinking. Since friday, I am down 5 1/2 pounds! Don't get me wrong, I still have temptation that I force myself to ignore, but I do notice a difference.

In addition, I know that a lot of us are doing low-carb and adding the fiber really helps with regularity.

So, just thought I'd share since I really do feel like it is helping! And don't forget your water, that really is helping too!!!

hello everybody, i have been on the amino acid therapy for 4 days. i have been taking phentermine for a little over 2 months and it was not working that well any more. i started taking the supplements and on the second day i could feel a big difference. now on the fourth day it feels almost as strong as when i first began taking them more than 2 months ago. i read that if you continue to take at least the D5 it will keep giving phentermine a boost. it is not expensive and i would recomend it to anybody who is building up a tolerance to it. gianna1

Thanks for the great tips panterkat and kimberly. I have been "stuck" for about 6 weeks now, so i'm going to try the fiber. Kimberly, i don't know what D5 is either. Is it an amino acid? And which others do you take for amino acid therapy? Thanks!

So when you take the fiber if you get hungry are you not soupposed to eat too? Like is it take the fiber with your meal or take the fiber instead of eating? I have been trying to eat 1200 calories a day even though I don't really get hungry should I not eat if i'm not hungry even if I don't get hungry all day?

Hello Mandabeth, You take the fiber and of course,whether you are hungry or not, you have to eat.
