weight loss on half a 37.5 phentermine ?

the dr now has me on 1/2 of a 37.5 mg phentermine due to persistant
nervousness/anxiety and palpitations after 3 wks. does anyone know if you can still loose weight on this? i feel better and thats important, but i still have incredible constipation and neck pain??? :P

hey, im with ya on the constipation and neck pain. i take half in the am and half in the pm, but i have yet to really lose anything b/c of the constipation i think. im sure you'll lose weight from 1/2...

what do you think causes the neck pain??? This
constipation is making me crazy--i'm takine flaxseed oil capsules and metamucil bars--nothing is helping

Are you drinking lots of water? All the other stuff is good, but I find lots of water to be the *key* when it comes to constipation. Drink all you can! Also, I think 1/2 a 37.5 mg. pill can be really helpful with cravings. That is what I take half the time because I forget to take the other half in the afternoon! It doesn't make your work effortless - just easier.

Hi Patti, the neck pain you are experiencing is more than likely from the phentermine. Because it does affect your nervous system, you are probably tense. If you are \

/ :eek: tensing all your muscle in the neck area that will cause your neck pain. It is, actually a common side effect. It sounds as if you might have a very strong reaction to the phentermine. I would assume that is why the doc wants you to take only a half. The good news is , he will more than likely, eventually increase it, given time and it will take you longer to build a tolerance to phentermine than the average person. thank you for the explanation-- I thought I was crazy. I see the dr, this week, he may want to increase it or try tenuate. the constipation is rough!

Hi, Patti.

I have only been taking 1/2 pill when I take it. I've lost 26 lbs. since March 25. I do not take it everyday and I plan to be off it for good within the next month. I'm not noticing any side effects and to be honest I can't tell that it is suppressing my appetite. Days on phentermine are like the days off. It is a mind thing for me. I feel that is responsible for keeping me more in line.
