Well i am only 2 weeks into this diet and already getting discouraged. I started loosing weight really fast last week and i havent lost any since. My calorie intake in less than what i am burning off each day and definitly drinking my "fair share" of water.. haha. I just need some advice on what i can do to help see some results.

I think your body may be in starvation mode - you may honestly need to eat more to get your metabolism moving. Sorry you're frustrated this week but honestly 9lbs in the first week is a huge accomplishment. Keep at it. You'll get there. Ellen

Thanks very much you guys! Do you think that 1000 calories is sufficient or should i try more than that? I usually go to the gym 3 time a week, walking for about 90 mins each time. I thought that 9 lbs was a lot for my first week too.. I stepped on that scale and was like WHOA!! I just get discouraged when i reach a plateau this early.

if you aren't losing then yes, bumping up the calories by just a little bit will help. Eating a few more helps you to burn a few more as well! Good luck! Keep us posted!

Melissa, Don't worry. You're going great! A lot of people here talk about mixing up the exercise routine a bit, so change the incline on the tread from time to time or try a new machine to mix it up. Free weights will build some muscle mass (which may make you feel like you're gaining btw) but muscle burns fat so in the long run it's worth it. Another secret that I haven't tried yet is adding some lemon to your water. Some people swear it jumps them off a plateau. Keep us informed of your progress! Ellen
