Hi Rachel, I don't think you sound like a hypochondriac at all. Have you been or or are you currently taking any antibiotics ? If not, are you in close contact with anyone who has cancer, undergoing chemo? Keeping in mind that I'm not a doctor and not trying to diagnose you, it sounds like it might be a yeast infection on your tounge. Many times you can actually get it after being on antibiotics. That sounds strange doesn't it? It's also common in chemo patients because the chemo lowers the bodies resistance. It is easily passed from one person to another by something as simple as drinking from the same glass. I didn't say you had this, it's really a suggestion, more than anything else. The most comonly prescribed medication (if it is a yeast infection) for a yeast infection on your tongue is Mycelex Troche's. They are a very large lozenge or pill that you allow to dissolve on your tongue. dawg
