You can lose weight without exercising-calories in-calories out and all that jazz....but you are of course better off if you do, even if it's just a little here and there. I'm not a big fan of exercise myself, either-so I don't do much compared to what I read that everyone else is. No marathons for me! I do yoga, some conditioning exercise (like crunches, lunges, and light weights for the arms), and I have a Gazelle that I dust off a few times a week. The Gazelle, by the way, is excellent for us couch potatos-it's no impact, and I watch TV while I'm on it. I don't exercise every day, but I've lost lots of weight before after having kids, and if you don't atleast do a little, you're probably still not going to like the way you look even though you're skinnier. You will definitely lose FASTER if you exercise, strictly because you will raise your metabolic rate during and for a while after. I've found that once I MAKE myself do it, I feel much better afterwards anyway.
