I"ve been told that the best way to figure your diet is by the 40-30-30 standard. Which, if I'm not mistaken is like The Zone Diet. Honestly, I got to where I was just eating a lot of chicken and veggies all the time. I know that get's boring, but it's safe LOL Fish too, which is VERY good because of the omega 3's. THere is a recipe section now that I'm trying to add to regularly, check there for some good idea's on how to perk up tired old chicken and stuff 
The main thing I would recommend, is just to watch how you cook stuff. Stay away from fried foods especially. Limit Red meat, and eat all the veggies you love!
