ACNE with Phentermine

Has anyone got acne while taking phentermine?

I have heard a couple of people complain about acne while on phentermine. :smt090

I had alittle when I first started but it went away after a few days. Some on phen have excellent results with Proactiv if it does not clear on its own or with over the counter stuff. :smt050

Oh my goodness-I had no idea there was an association. I have had a problem with acne since starting it, and just never put 2 and 2 together. I haven't had more than 1 or 2 pimples since high school (I'm 27) until the last few weeks, but I was thinking maybe it was because I got back from vacation my skin was irritated by the sun and saltwater, I started taking them the day I got back......

Yes, you can breakout when taking phen. I have fought adult acne for years now. I go to the dermatologist every 2 months for a peel and if my skin starts to breakout any other time, they put me on minocin. It's great!! You can take it while taking phen and it keeps your skin clear! It's a once a day pill and works like magic!

I've been having problem with acne since I started menopause. My doctor gave me a prescription for Minocycline, which helped some, but I ended up ordering the Proactive ... wow, that stuff works wonders! My skin looks nicer than it did before I had a problem lol! I buy their makeup now too.

I don't think the Phentermine is affecting my skin at all, but then, the Proactive and Minocycline combo may be preventing an outbreak from the Phentermine. My gosh, I'm spending a fortune just to look good haha PDT_Love_23

To answer your question, yes!!! I have gotten acne on Phen. I've taken it for a month this time around & haven't had any problems but it has happened to me in the past. I wish I had a solution - it drives me CRAZY!!!

Oh my gosh...I am so broken out right now and I never thought I could be from the Phen! My dermadoc has me on antibiotics and differin gel and I kept wondering why my acne was getting worse instead of better.....guess it could be the phen! Thanks for the insight!
