Hi! I just started taking phentermine 5 days ago. It's working great for me, adjusting a little with some slight stomach upset, but nothing big.
I teach fitness classes and have great energy!

Told my friend about it and she went to the dr. He told her phentermine has a 1 in 100,000 chance of giving you irreperable heart damange (ie: phen-fen) and he wouldn't prescribe it. It was very dangerous...did she want to be the 1 out of 100,000? (I ordered online...) So she kinda freaked me out.

Any comments?

I'm finding that alot of doctors just don't like to prescribe Phentermine period. That's not to say that there may be that 1 in 100, 000 but that's a big number. I personally would speak to your doctor (especially if you are taking any other kinds of meds) to make sure it's going to be ok for you.

Hi Shelli, "fen"-"fen" is no longer marketed in the U.S. That is only one of the reasons. Phentermine is only one half of this combination. As long as you have no other health issues and aren't taking other prescription meds and have recently had a complete physical, most people do quite well with it, as a weight loss tool.
