okay here is the deal ladies....i have been taking phen for about a month ago and a half. i lost seven pounds last month which my doctor said was about right. there are a few people at my job who are taking this. the thing is they are dropping weight like crazy and me and my friend who are doing the same thing is dropping the same amount of weight. the people who are dropping like crazy, don't eat that much or when they do its fast food from what i see and no exercise. me and my friend, both eat healthy, exercise regularly and are losing slowly. my doctor said permanent weight loss is 1-2 pounds of fat a week and anything over is muscle and water which will come back. ok now for my question....Is anyone experiencing slower weight loss when eating right and exercising? THanks for the feedback i really need to ease my mind. Thanks!!!!!!!!

There are alot of people on here who are losing slow, and that is the best way to go. If you lose it fast, you will just gain it back. Not to mention that everyone is different and everyone loses differently. That's just the way it is. Stick w/ what you are doing. You're losing the right way and it will be ALOT easier to keep it off once you reach your goal. Good Luck!

This is a great question. I am having the same problem. The first time I ever begin taking Phen, (two months ago) I only lost five lbs! I was extremely disappointed. So, I decided to try it again, in July, after hearing how so many others have success with it. Since beginning again, I have only lost about 5 lbs again, give or take. I eat right, the majority of the time, with occasional slips. I drink over 70 oz of water a day and I exercise at least 4 times a week. I don't get it! But I am determined to lose the last pounds with the help of Phen or not. I just thought I'd be having better luck too. Anyway, good luck to you and keep trying.

I started taking it on 6/1 . I'm down 22 pounds , I work out daily drink lots of water eat much healthier foods but I also feel like the weight is not coming off fast enough. I try not to get discourage so I keep doing all off the above and hope that one off this days I wake up and see myself smaller, can't wait for that day.

i know how you guys feel. we want to see the results fast and especially when you hear other people just dropping the weight off with no effort, it makes it worse. like i said, the fact that the only two people at my job which are me and my friend vs the other 4 people at my job who are dropping weight like 5 pounds a week...that is the major difference. i will tolerate the slow loss if that means permanent loss. thanks for your responses.

I am losing slow as well. I am extremely flabbergasted at some of the weight losses. It almost seems impossible. I was reading somewhere that a lady lost 18 lbs. in 2 weeks. It has been the end of six weeks for me and I've lost approx. 8-1/2lbs. Definitely slow. I pulled out my weight watchers journal and weigh in book from last year and I actually lost 13.6 lbs. on WW at the end of six weeks. Now that freaks me out cuz I was frustrated at how slowly I lost with WW. I stuck with it for 3 months and lost 19.8 lbs. on that program. I feel like I am more focused this time and my calories are lower. I try to follow a 800-1000 cal. diet and work out (which I've done for years). My one worst effort is the water. I NEED to be consistent and I am not.
I am 52 so that doesn't help, also pre-men........maybe there is something to eating more cals., so I am going to begin that tomorrow. I am going to shoot for 1000-1200 cals.

But....as Amanda says.....slow is better in the long run but .......golly.... I could go for a bit faster!

You also have to realize the difference in weights. The less you weigh the longer it will take you to lose becuase you require less calories to perform ADL's (activities of daily living) You can up the calorie deficit by exericising but you still have to subract 3,500 calories to lose 1 pound. So if you burn 1500 calories a day just sitting and you eat 1200 calories for sustinance, you're only down 300 calories a day. It will take almost 12 days to lose 1 pound. Exercise can subtract a few days.. but it's not going to be 5 pounds in a week.

That's 17,500 calories!!!!! you would have to eat nothing for over 2 weeks to lose that or exercise to burn 2500 calories a day.

I know we are all in a hurry to see our sexy selves again but "rome wasn't built in a day". A healthier you takes time!

Whatever you've lost... take pride in knowing you never have to look at it again!!!! Plunge headlong into today and live it. Scales lie... how are you feeling today? Healthier? happier? more energy?

I, for one, experience turtle-slow, Christmas-slow, kids-go-to-bed slow. VERY SLOW. But I am determined and consistency plays an important role. I remind myself daily that turtles really DO move, Christmas DOES come and kids DO finally wear out!
Be slow, be moderate in your expectations and teach yourself healthy habits by forcing yourself to eat for health's sake. YOU CAN DO IT! This will be the last time you ever have to diet if done right!
