I am so proud of you for having read enough to know that you will lose less weight eating 700 calories than eating 1200 calories. Your body has self-preservation as an instinctive method to keep itself alive. When you eat too little, your body thinks it's starving and burns less calories. After a 700 calorie a day diet, it's even possible to gain again after returning to 1200 calories a day.
It is almost mind boggling~ a bit like if you were to fall into freezing water; your body's life mechanisms would slow so drastically that you would need far less oxygen to stay alive... just to preserve your life!
Eat a balanced diet full of nutrients; feed your muscles and your mind and exercise a bit every day. It surely IS possible and I think you are going to be one of the 'losers' on this board!

I don't know. Your body will be weak but you will lose weight. My dad had to have part of his esophagus and stomach removed because of a tumor in January he was 250 and now he weighs 178 pounds and feels better than ever. He could only eat small things several times a day.

That's the difference! Small meals several times a day is actually the way to go because it keeps your body constantly busy with dieting the food. It is when your body goes long periods of time without food that it automatically stores any food it gets.
