Nine pounds in three weeks is about all that a human being can possibly lose and still remain healthy at all.

I too have lost exactly 9 pounds in the same 3 weeks, and I am elated with it. Losing one lb per week is more reasonable for someone my size, while some can lose 2 lbs per week and be healthy.

I started the phentermine on Dec 1, and it sounds like you started at almost the exact same time. I am sure that a lot of the 9 lbs I lost was water weight from reducing sodium and simple carbohydrate intake.

A few pounds up or down can be how much liquid we've consumed, what time of the month it is, even whether we've had a daily bowel movement or not.

And just think, this is the time of the year when most people are indeed gaining weight.

I think we're both right on schedule and doing great.

The phentermine "helps", but it's our own decisions about what we eat and do that determine whether we lose or not.

Nikki you need to eat a balanced diet, I know that a lot of people say low carb diets and they loose weight very very FAST, BUT slow steady weight loss and you will keep it off a heck of a lot longer than fast rapid loss, as when you start to maintain it you will gain back and more.

I am in 100% agreement with every post in answer to yours~can't really get better answers than that! Your body takes time to get used to the loss and many changes are made inside you other than the weight becoming less!
I lost 1/2 pound per week and was elated each time. One week I gained 1/2 pound yet I never wavered off the plan...and I needed the folks here to remind me it would be worth it and to stay the course.
YOU CAN DO THIS THE RIGHT WAY, Baby!

That's really tempting. I've tried to do low carb and the longest I've ever been able to succeed on it was 2 weeks. Then again, I was living in Germany at the time. Where the bread is oh so good and oh too convenient! I might try low carb for the month of January. I'm going to try and give myself a new goal for each month. December's was to not eat anymore Sakura - my favorite restaurant in the world, and to not eat fast food more than once a week. January - let's try to do low carb for a month! Let me know if you're sticking with it. We can be low carb buddies! We're even at the same weight! Well, add a stupid .2 lbs to mine.
