OK. I have been reading all of the post from all of the users of this forum and decided that I would post my experience with
Phentermine and
weight loss....
In High School (1991) I weighed around 118 pounds. I proceeded to get married in 1993 and at that time I was around 125. I do believe that when you are in a relationship, you tend to get comfortable and boy did I. I got so comfortable, I got up to 190 pounds by 1997. Well, in 1997 I decided to do something. Not only about my weight, but also about my loser husband....so, I divorced him (175 pounds instantly gone

) and began on Phen-Fen. I lost 75 pounds down to 115 in 3 months. The Fen part of the med was recalled by the FDA and is no longer available due to heart problems. Fortunately, I had an echocardiogram and I am fine but I do know that there are alot of people who were not so lucky.
So, I kept off the weigh for the most part. I got up to 138-140 in 2001. Went on phen 30 mg (by the way in Tennessee where I am from there are "diet doctors" on just about every corner who will give the Phen to anyone that has $100 for the visit that usually takes about 5 minutes for them to examine you from head to toe) and got back to 120.
WELL, in July of 2006, I got on the scale and lo and behold....138 again....so I went online, found that I could order online and did just that. I am in Maryland now and there are no "diet doctors" here. I took the
30mg blue and clears for 3 months (til about September) and lost down to 114. That was 24 pounds in 3 months. (At the time I ordered from mylittlepharmacy which is no longer carrying the phen.)
I have done ok but I weighed after Christmas and was at 127 pounds.
I am short, 5'2" on a good day, so and extra 10 pounds on me looks like 25. I know that there are alot of people on here that have alot more weight to lose than me but I, having been at 190, know how it feels and I just do not want to get back to that point. I don't want people to look at my weight over there on the side and say "now what does she need to be on phen for?" I, just like everyone, have an ideal weight for myself and I hope that you understand the reason that I am on here.
Anyway, since I have told my life story with Phen, I would say that I am a "veteran" to the med. 10 years of experience. I am not here to offer any medical advice, I just want to make friends and have some support from people that know how hard it is to lose weight.
I ordered the 37.5mg from
customhrt last week and got them on Tuesday. I started them on Wednesday. I dont want to weigh until next Wednesday so I will post and let you know my weight then.
Good luck to all of you who are on here working hard and learning new habits.
I hope that you all succeed in your weight loss and I will be here for any of you if needed.
Take care.....Kim
