Does anyone out there use the digital scales that also have a body fat measuring system on them? I'm looking into buying one to measure my body fat % progress and I was just wondering if they were worth the money.

The handhelds are nice! I used one when I had gym class in high school.

I'd say, that if your really really interested in watching your body fat percentage go down, then get one. I personally don't see the point because if I get on the scale and I weigh less then last week, then I lost some fat, but then again I am a girl and I'm just interested in losing weight not how much body fat I have...

On the other hand, for some people it gives them that extra sense of accomplishment/accuracy that they are losing fat, and not just water/muscle etc.

If you can get one for pretty cheap, then go for it...

I just want to make sure that I'm losing fat instead of muscle because if you lose muscle you're just going to end up gaining all of the weight that you lost back when you get off the pill.

Rainbow_tears: What's frustrating about it? Is it the machine itself or that you're just not happy with your results?

Just the results, I am only 4ft 11" tall so 1lb on me looks like 5lb!!

Although I know I have the potential to get muscularily (dont know if that is a word but it is now!!) as I used to do competitive swimming whilst in school!!

x

Awww i'm sorry Lea, that is tough. Its weird for me, but a lot of people say I don't look like what I weigh (they think I weigh less). Maybe it's because i'm more of a pear shape, and I have short "stout" legs, so I hide a lot of my weight well (i'm 5ft3). Anyways, I do understand how magnified 1 lb can be if your shorter. But, I'm sure you thought of it the other way right? If you've lost like 30 lbs, it must be a huge change to some people right? Which is fantastic!

I get discouraged enough when I get on the scale and I haven't lost anything, so I think a bodyscale would just annoy me more.

My problem is that I'm 6'3" and I naturally have an athletic build, so I can gain 20 lbs and it only looks like I've gained 5...but after I gained 60 pounds it's pretty easy to tell especially in the face and love handles for me.

I think the body fat monitor would just help me to know that I actually am doing some good. It's hard for me to tell slight little differences. It's a blessing in one way, and a curse in the other.

p.s. How many men do ya'll know who have taken Phen and what was there success like? Does it work faster for us or slower? Or does a person's sex make a difference?
