I am wondering if someone can tell me why the scale isnt moving? Could it be because I have been at the gym almost every day for the last 2 weeks? Is is possible to lose inches and fat and build muscle? I am frusterated!!!!!!!! I am staying pretty much within my calories, but working out alot. Please help me????

I am not sure of all the reasons why the scale isent moving for you... But I can say a couple days ago I was you, I was discouraged and frustrated and didnt understand why my scale was the same everyday. I decieded to just keep going and decieded not to get on the scale until I felt like I was losing weight. I have got on a couple times and now my scale is going down. It is a great feeling. So Yes I do believe that working out and building muscle and water has alot to do with the scale not moving.... just give it some more time, do what you know is right- eating and exercising and I am sure you will see lower numbers very soon!
Good luck 2 u!

Hi sweetie, when you loose weight, the scale moves, but what the scale doesn't reflect is how your body is redistrubuting that weight into the frame it now has. Not sure if that makes sense.

*tries to think of a easier way to explain*

erm when you make up Jello, you pour it into a mould from the jug, but then the Jello solidifies within the mould till you serve it, but then if you try and fit the solidified Jello back in the jug it wont all fit.

Does that help at all? if not just say 'Lea you are talking crap!'

That does make sense. I was just worried that I am doing all this work, and nothing is happening. I am going to talk to my trainer tonight too, and see what he thinks, and what I may be able to do. Thanks so much for your input guys. I so appreciate it.

It is my understanding that muscle weighs more than fat, so by you converting your fat into muscle your weight may not change but your inches will. Have you measured yourself to see if you have lost inches rather than the weight? Do your pants feel looser?

I agree with kscott, i started taking measurements from the beginning and ive lost about 12 1/2 inches..when you start building muscle the scale may not move very much or not at all, but i bet if you measure you'll see the difference..dont give up, keep up what your doing and eventually the scale will move down again...good luck

Are you working with a trainer? I assume you aren't looking to "bulk up" with weights, so make sure you are doing the right weights, at the right weight, and the right amount of reps for toning, and not bulking.

Do weights only 3x a wk. The rest should be cardio.
