Cathlena....you are definitely not alone, hon. My husband can eat anything and not gain an ounce, and he has always viewed our eating together as bonding. He literally gets his feelings hurt when I do not partake with him-and forget about asking him to keep a little less junk in the house.
I usually do ok with it because he works 12 hour shifts, but he got hurt at work and is on medical leave for the last two weeks. I have quit taking my phen again because it's pointless right now. Since I probably won't be able to get it online in the future, I'm saving it for when he goes back!
Don't feel bad about the weekend. My hubby might be home for several MORE weeks. You can't have done too much damage in 2 days, no matter how bad it was. It takes 3500 more calories (above your metabolic rate) to gain one pound. You may retain a little water from extra carbs for a few days, but just get back on that horse and think of it as a break. We all need a little R & R every now and then!
I, on the other hand, am waiting in desperation for my Monday to come!
I think sometimes men do sabotage our weight loss, even if it is subconsciously. Deep down some husbands/boyfriends worry that with self improvement and a higher confidence we may wonder what the hell we are doing with THEM, lol. Which is ironic, because lots of us women want to lose the weight so that they will be more attracted to us. Double edged sword I guess.
