My lower back has been KILLING me since I started phen. It could be something else (have had back pain issues in the past) but it seems to have started the day I started phen and has gotten worse. Im just wondering if anyone else has experienced lower back pain from phen or if it's probably some other reason my back is bothering me?

I've seen quite a few posts online from others who have noticed lower back pain when taking Phentermine. You're definitely not alone. Here's an example:

Awww I'm sorry about the back pain. Maybe take it once every couple days? How long have you been using Phentermine?

I have been on Phen for 12 days now. I experienced severe back pain my first week, along with muscle fatigue allover. I upped my water intake from... well, none to as much as I can choke down and I feel much better. Back pain is completely gone and my muscles feel normal. I have NO medical background but maybe your kidneys needing a flushing after all the bathroom trips we make. You may be dehydrated?! The tylenol didn't work for me, hence the reason I went to self diagnosis. *wink* lol. Sugar pill or not, week 2 ='d no pain.

I too got increasingly worsening lower back pain right after starting phen. Of course, since it was an easy target, I at first blamed the phen, as it was the only major change in recent history.
3 weeks ago I had such excruciating lower back pain that I nearly could not get out of bed, and when I did, I "walked"/hobbled like a 100 year old person. Going to my chiro, found out it was a prob with a deteriorating lower disc, combined with something called sacroilliac syndrome, and sciatica pains down my legs. He adjusted my spine and gave me heated ultrasound procedures, and I have thankfully been fine ever since!

That's a bit "me too" on low back pain. I never had a backache in my entire life (and I'm over 40) until I started taking phen. It seems to be steming from my sacroilliac joints on both sides (used to be called lumbago). I think the phen makes you hold your body more tightly so you end up with myofacial pain (trigger points and major tightness). You also tend to do things longer and harder. Like I notice I work ungodly hours at my desk without moving (16+). Of course there will be a price to pay for doing that but you don't see it when you're all sped out on phen. Also, you may be doing exercises you're not used to and doing them with great vigor. The cure is YOGA. If I do it every single day (blah) my back is fine and dandy but if I miss AT ALL it's back to immediate suffering. Get a yoga tape specifically for therapy of the hips and back. You'll be better than new in 5 days time.
