Hi all. I've been lurking for a few weeks, and now I have a question. I did the phen-fen thing a long time ago, lost 40 pounds, it was great. The weight has been creeping up over the past few years so I'm trying the phentermine again. I've been taking it for a week now and I've noticed that I'm getting a ringing in my ears, and heart palpitations. I went onto Webmd, used the symtom checker and one of the results was aortic regurgitaion, which can lead to "sudden death".
Now I'm in a panic. At my doctors appointment, everything seemed fine. No high blood preassure, nothing with my heart. Should I be concerned? I have another doctor's appointment in a few weeks, but should I try to get in sooner?
Also, did I mention that my dad died last month from a heart attach at the age of 64? Ever since I'm very aware of every twinge in my chest. So is this whole thing just a figment of my imagination? Should I be worried? I didn't take any phen today and so far no ringing in the ears or palpitaions.
Thoughts, anyone?
