Is the only difference the price? It seems that Ionamin is 3x the price of Phentermine. Is there a difference?

Hi, Girl. Ionamin is just a different formulation of phentermine. Some are an extended-release resin complex; could these be the ones that are more expensive? I haven't heard many reports that one is universally better than another~

that's what I'm trying to determine. Thank you for your help. My doctor prescribed Ionamin and I have been taking it for two weeks. I paid $115 for 30 pills. Yikes! I want to refill it online and I noticed that the price for Ionamin and Phentremine are vastly different yet they seem to be the same thing. I think I'll ask for the generic. The price is $60 for 90 pills - what a difference!!!!!

Gees, that IS expensive! If you have a valid prescription, can't you get it at your local WalMart and save lots of money? Or buy generic- phentermine is actually the generic name!

Yeah, that's what I'm doing this time. The last time, I went to my local CVS and they filled it for Ionamin (that's what my dr wrote) and when I got there, the price was $115 for a month's supply and my insurance wouldn't cover it. So, I posted here and someone gave me good advice to shop around and I did. I just wanted to make sure that there was no vast difference between Ionamin and Phentermine. Because if one works and one doesn't, then I'd rather pay the higher price and get the one that works. BUT, if they're both the same.......give me the cheaper one!

Costco sometimes has cheaper prices also, and you don't have to be a member to use the pharmacy.. ;-)
