Don't give up, sometimes it takes awhile for your body to adjust.
When I first started in August, I lost around 2 lbs my first week. I stayed on until March and lost almost 50 lbs and took a break.
I went off for almost 6 weeks then went to my pcp. He put me on a different
program - Adipex and a different eating plan (not my favorite but I'll stick with it :P)
My first day I lost 4.6 lbs! talk about weird - last time I ate very little the first 3 days and this time I ate around 1250 cals and have to stay between 1200-1500.
This dr does 1/3 Carbs 1/3 Fats & 1/3 Protein - no bread, carrots, beets, rice, pasta, potatoes, corn, yams, sweet potatoes, cereal; no pineapple or bananas; no red meat or shellfish and NO dairy of any kind...my question was WHAT can I eat? lol
Lots of vegetables, fruits; white meat and lentils.
They recommend something similar to this:
Breakfast: Oatmeal/Chicken/Tuna
Lunch: Salad w/Olive Oil or Protein Supplement Bar
Dinner: 1/2 plate of Green Veggies or Hard veggies, 1/4 Fruits; 1/4 Proteins
2 small snacks of fruit or veggies
at least 64 oz of
water/tea/coffee that you brew yourself
Exercise 3-5 times a week 20-30 min a day to begin with.
And to only eat when hungry; not just because the clock says it's mealtime.
Oh, by the way - for anyone who has not filled a prescritpion at Wal-Mart before, a word of caution:
If you have a script that is for a brand name prescription, MAKE SURE you tell them at the window NO GENERICS! or they tell you tough luck it's a law they can substitute; even if the dr wrote it out for Brand X - the dr has to put MEDICALLY necessary on the script for them to honor it - or you the patient have to request it (I found out the hard way and lost $21.98)
Good luck and hang in there
