Hi,
Does anyone know if your blood pressure goes up while on phentermine if it goes back down after being off of it for a certain amount of time? Thanks.

I have high blood pressure that is controlled by medication and I have seen no increase in my blood pressure since I have been taking the phen.

In fact my Doctor told me at my 1 month appointment for the phen, that if it was still low next month he would decrease my blood pressure meds, probably in half.

Yes, phen definitely makes your blood pressure go up. My doc told me my blood pressure was borderline high in Jan and she monitored me until Mar before I could start taking phen. She told me to try and check it at least 2-3 times a week and that if it got past 140/90 to call her. So far no problem but if I had a problem with my blood pressure I would definitely keep it checked while on phen and definitely watch my sodium intake. Once the phen wears off though your blood pressure will come down some.

If it was normal before you started taking them and went up while you were on them (how high did it go?) then it probably will go right back to where it was once you stop. Did you feel you had to stop taking them? That would be too bad since you're already halfway to your goal weight. Maybe it wasn't just the phen that made it go up...maybe it was the phen and a couple of other things thrown in like too much salt in your diet or stress at work or taking antihistamines (I can't get enough of those this time of year.) Hope you're OK.
