Hello and welcome. Your symptoms sound pretty normal to me. The emotional roller coaster was one that I did not have though. I don't know if that is normal. You will need to drink lots of water. Chewing sugarless gum can be helpful for dry mouth. Your lower jaw is probably stiff due to your inability to relax fully while you are sleeping and from clenching your teeth during both waking and sleeping hours. I have had this problem for a long time. You have to learn to be aware of this while awake. The way I do it is to allow my tongue to rest at the top of my mouth (touching the roof of the mouth with mouth closed). keep your teeth apart at a relaxed space. Once you learn to relax your jaw, you will feel better. This is kind of hard to explain so I hope I explained it ok.
When I began phentermine I had dry mouth, a lot of extra energy to the point of shakiness, a headache, insomnia and.....weightloss! Most of the negative side effects will go away within a week. Your body just needs to adjust.
Make sure you are eating several small meals throughout the day. 200 to 300 calorie meals at a time to make up about 1200 calories a day is good. Don't drink caffeine and try to change bad eating habits while you are on phentermine so when you are off it you will be prepared for a lifetime of healthy eating.
Good luck!!!!
