I don't feel the needle but Lipotropic is known to hurt a little, to me it feels like a burn. I got my shot yesterday and today at work I was walking down the stairs and I could still feel the pain as I step down on the side my injection was given on. I don't feel it when I am working out at the gym but I do more low impact like the EFX and the stair master. I only have this pain for about a day or two and I get my injection once a week. Skinnyminny do you pay per injection? I know Lipotropic does cost more than B-12.

Hi
Maybe you should tell the nurse to put some numbing cream on it before you get the shot. Also look away when you get it.
Guess you'll have to tuff it up. I get mine in the arm and its ok.
Maybe you should take the B12 by mouth. (pills that melt under your tongue).

Oh Ms Redhead....I get all my meds for the month (including shots) under one price.

Girl, you are tough, 2 c-sections with no pain meds is so out there. Wouldn't want to have been in your place... I had my first one naturally with no pain meds and it was no walk in the park

I had my first B12 today and they did it in my arm. DIdn't even feel it. I have to get it every week, but since Jason used to be a medic and has given tons of shots, they just let me take mine home and he can do it.

B-12 shots:
My doctor prescribed them, so every month I pick up a small vial of liquid B-12 from my pharmacy. Using an insulin syringe very, very carefully because the needles are so tiny, I stick needle into the B-12 vial, pull out 1 syringe full, which is 1/4 the amount I am prescribed per month and inject into my thigh.

Of course, using alcohol and disinfecting everything as I go! Honestly, I cannot even feel it! And the whole process is less than 1 minute!

I'm taking the "sublingual" B-12 that I got at the health food store. It's like an eye dropper - you fill up the dropper, drop it under your tongue, hold it under your tongue for about 30 seconds and then swallow. It doesn't taste great -sort of like cough medicine but not syrupy and I just drink something right afterwards. It's a B complex and contains 1000mg of the B-12. I guess the injections are more potent.

I hate to say this but it shouldn't hurt when she injects it into your muscle. Is she pinching the muscle too tight this can cause pain because when the B12 is injected there is tissue breakage when a section was isolated tightly? I give myself my shot in the muscle every day and I give my mother and sister theirs and LOL since I've done their shots NO PAIN, and every time the "nurse" gave it they always had pain! If you live near come on over LOL. See if they will give you a RX for your shots because A: cheaper & B: doesn't hurt, you will be more gentle with yourself than they will believe me. Go to youtube and watch them be given may give you an ideal what she is doing wrong?
