so i was on phen for 2 months and seemed to hit a plateau of some kind.... (starting weight was 156/157 then dropped down to 147 when i hit the plateau) i went to my 2month lb. check and talked to my dr. about meridia. he said i could try it, so i did... i have been on it now for about 3 1/2 weeks and have dropped down to 140/139lbs. i'm not real sure if it is because of the phen or meridia. i just HOPE AND PRAY that i can reach my goal weight of 115 sometime soon!!! i will be still be happy if i can AT LEAST get to 120!!!!!!! does anyone know any tricks that may help me reach my goal quicker??? i drink lots of water/day and stay pretty active. ( i haven't been able to go to the gym for like 2months now because we've been so busy, but still stay active throughout the day) ---i've got 2 little ones i'm still watching my calorie intake and not eating junk. if anyone can tip in.... please feel free to drop in your 2 cents!!!

It sounds like you're well on you way - CONGRATULATIONS!

The only thing that I can suggest is getting back to real exercise. I stay active during the day, also, but I don't think that really counts as exercise. I've heard that you have to break a sweat for your activity to be beneficial. Housework and such are better than nothing but if you could find the time to do something more for about 45 minutes I think that would help. Good Luck!!!

Welcome to the forum!! Yep it sounds like you're doing a good job dropping the weight. You don't want to lose weight too quickly because it's just not good for your body.... you're doing good!

You're still losing...slowly perhaps but maybe that's how it's going to be for you. The Meridia is something that can be taken for a longer period time with less side effects so it was a good choice. I hate to give this advice because I'm such a slacker in this area--mind you,I wasn't always-- but exercise is key. Even if you are active in your daily life it's just not the same as 30 min.on a treadmill or with an exercise tape or just jumping up and down non stop. It really is the only way to speed this along. There are some tricks of course, but they're all unhealthy ones.
