I have been doing a search on the internet for some clues as to why I have been late 2 months in a row. The first month was 45 days and this month I have been through the motions but still 41 days and nothing. The two products I have started in the last eight weeks have been phentermine and Promensil. It would appear that the red clover in Promensil does not have any effect on menstruation, however after my search, it appears there are some connections with phentermine upsetting the monthly cycle, from causing it to be late, to be skipped altogether. I found a comment from one lady that said she is always irregular on phen and that when she comes off it, her periods return to normal. I know some other ladies on this forum are having the same issue as me, so can anyone else shed some light on this? It would be good to know.

Oh how I can relate to this!!!

My story is awfully similar to yours! I was already about 2 weeks late when I started taking Phen. That one lasted 15 days. Then instead of a 21-23 day cycle as I normally am... it was 48 days! Now I'm on day 15... again... and today I thought it was backing off some... um... wrong!

When I asked my doctor, she blamed it on the weight loss. Some shift in hormone levels, blah, blah, blah... BUT I talked to both nurses there as they are either on Phen now or have been in the past. And they BOTH said they had trouble with their cycles while on Phen! I have found nothing printed listing this as a side effect... but I would tend to say it was!!

I'm curious as to what other are finding as well.

Yes, Phen seems to upset my cycle as well.
I am on the birth control pill, & this month my period was 1 day late, which is SO SO weird, considering I'm on the pill!
BUT - last year I took Phen for quite a while, & wasn't on any birth control, & my periods were WAY wacko!!!
So yes, I think Phen upsets our bodies natural cycles...jmo

It never occurred to me that it could be the phen because I've never been regular......now I wonder If I'm irregular because of all the phen I've taken over the years. hmmmm

This is interesting because my cycle has shortened! I typically was at a standard 1 month cycle...my whole life. Now I have moved more to like a 24 day cycle. It's definitely under a month but just a bit over 3 weeks-ish. Definitely not the same "date" that I used to always be (in high school, it was always the 23rd of the month). I attributed it to the weight loss but I have deifnitely weighed less than now so I'm not sure. Hmmm....I do like that it is not as long as it used to be (7-9 days). I just figured it was because I stopped nursing and started phen within the next couple of weeks so I never let my hormones rest prior to phen (and I had 4 kids in 6 years so my hormones didn't rest much then because I seemed to always be pregnant or nursing).

I'm going to talk to my gyn about it....

Blessings,
Rene
