I have been taking Phentermine since Saturday. For the past couple days I have been having a wierd feeling in my chest. It feels like Vicks Vapo Rub on my chest only on the inside. It doesn't hurt just uncomfortable. My heart doesn't seem to be racing either. Has anyone ever had this symptom?

The first 2 days I took 30mg of Phen, I felt a bit funny near my heart, like racing, but nothing since then. i have been on it 3 weeks, I just have lots of energy.

If you still have the symptoms, def. call your DR.

hi, I felt hot and flushed on the outside and inside in my chest the first few days, if you have a drug store nearby , go take your blood pressure when you feel like this ( My BP was very high, it only happened when I got stressed at work,or was yelling at my kids ) I went to my diet dr. on Monday, and felt the same way ( I manage a hair salon, and someone stole all of our donations for the children's hospital) We had all worked so had to collect almost 400.00. So needless to sayI was very stressed and felt that way, my BP was 160/105.WAY to high. oh well, he didn't take me off phen??? and I was sure he was going to, and go figure,Ididn't even take one that daybecause of the wayI was feeling.good luck

Hi, M! There are so many variations of individual responses to phentermine. These folks have given you great advice; make sure your doctor is in the know when it comes to your responses to it and keep your blood pressure under a watchful eye.

Have you considered halving the dose until your body gets more used to it?

I never considered halfing the dose. Saturday was my week and I am doing okay. As far as today I didn't take it due to my "P" pill mix up. I start back on it monday. I am going to redo my weight chart to. Instead of going by the weight at my doctor's office I'll go by the weight at Curves. (At least they are 4 lbs lighter) lol
