Does anyone else out there taking phentermine cry easily and feel irritable all the time. I had bad cold and did not take the phentermine for 2 weeks and I think I was alot easier to live with. It seems when I take the phen everyhthing irritates me so easily and I can cry at the drop of a hat. We watched The Christmas Blessing movie last night , and I cried so hard my eyes were so swollen this morning- it was ridiculous!
Is there anything I can do about this? Thanks . .Sheri

Sheri, I hear you, Girl. Because the actions of the medicine take place in the brain rather than the bloodstream, they are harder to control.

They work on Seratonin levels which affect the 'feel-good' centers of your brain. Those centers control depression, happiness, full-feelings like satiation...

Do you think you could half your dose or, depending on how much you take, double it? Sometimes it just needs a little tweak~ Have you spoken to your doc or pharmacist?

Hi Susan ,
No I haven't spoken with a doctor or pharmacist about it-I have to go for a Bp check in the next week or so -in order to get a refill, so I may ask then.
I take 37.5 mg phentermine.I'm afraid if I half it I won't get the appetite control.
Does 5-htp help for this ?

Yep; those 37.5 mg are the ones to half IF you are inclined; maybe just test that for a day or 2 to see how your body reacts.

5-HTP is a precursor to Seratonin, meaning it can help in depression, binge-eating, weight loss, problems sleeping, chronic headaches and more. 1 to 3, 100-mg tabs are ideal for most.

WalMart has them or will order them for you for free, except you MIGHT have to pay $10 to actually GET them!

Are you taking the brand-name or the generic version? I had the same problem with the brand-name (Adipex)... constantly on edge, ready to snap at nothing, and got angry easily! I've been on the generic for a little over a month now and haven't had a problem with it.

Stacy, I don't know if mine are generic or not . They are oval shaped , white with blue specks and have A 159 stamped on it. How did you get the generic? Did you just ask the pharmacist. Does the generic work as well for appetite supression? Thanks...Sheri
