Doc Said Hell No

Went to a doc that advertised medical weightloss. He said my blood pressure was too high and sent me out empty handed after trying to sell me beauty procedures (injectables etc).

At least he didn't charge me. Strange thing is, I saw my HMO doc the previous week who took my blood pressure. He didn't say anything so I assume it was normal. What happens if you take phen with high blood pressure? I don't mind dying from heart attack if I'm thin and beautiful but a stroke just wouldn't be pretty.

are you kidding me Im not trying to be rude really, but it would be very sad for anyone who knows and loves you to have to lay you to rest because you felt this way.I dont know nothing about you but Id like to get to know you and if you really want the phen ,try another docter, with your current weight you should be able to get it, its just a very hard drug to get, as far as the blood pressure, I have never had problems with mine, even while pregnant mine was always normal, well, now that I take phen, yesterday while doing no activity at all, only sitting and chatting with my sis, we checked mine and it was high, and my pulse was 95, and I was`nt doing a thing, so if you already have blood pressure trouble then this med could be very ,very dangerous.We all want to be skinny but, what good will skinny do a person who isn`t around anymore to enjoy it and buy new clothes for that figure you gained in the first place. I hope you can get help in your weight loss, please stay in touch and take care, all hope isnt lost yet.

The phen can raise your blood pressure itself, so if yours IS already high, then you sure as heck don't want to make it worse.

try another dr. if you really want it. It may have just been something that day with you

Lots of things can make your BP go up temporarily. Take it 3 times in a row, while you are still and have been so several minutes. Do not talk or move around. Then average the 3.

Frankly, I applaud a diet doctor who wouldn't prescribe what he didn't think safe for you and wouldn't charge you.

What is your normal pressure? How about when he took it? Is it possible he'd be willing to help you control both the BP and the appetite? Maybe a call to your HMO doc to verify what the numbers were when he last checked you.

Also..have you a number for your BMI?
And, finally, I am sorry you were so disappointed but think there are ways to make it happen for you; you just have to find a safe one.
